MODERN ACUPUNCTURE

Modern Acupuncture (Dry Needling) is a method of treating musculoskeletal disorders by inserting very fine, single use sterilized needles into different points of the body to stimulate the body's own healing response and restore health. In addition, stimulation of the points induces the release of endorphins from the brain that have pain-relieving properties. Treatment is usually painless although a patient may feel a slight skin prick as the needle is inserted.

In contrast to Traditional Chinese Acupuncture (TCM), which uses it's own distinct diagnostic methods, meridian (energy) channels and treatment points, Modern Acupuncture works with conventional anatomy and physiology and the whole process takes between 10 seconds and two minutes. As such it is often used as an adjunct to other treatment techniques.
